I am flying VS73 Man-Orlando depart 13.30 and when I called Virgin to reserve my seats I asked if it was a 747 and I was told no, and that it was a 343 (or it could have been 340 as I had difficulty understanding the accent), which I took to mean the aircraft type

I just wanted to check where the seats we are allocated are on the plane.

Shirley, why not go online at virginatlantic's website and you can manage your booking from there, you will need your booking ref or eticket number and then you can choose seats (using a map of the cabin like Julie has posted) order your choice of meal and fill in apd ect

I think that the lady I spoke to at Virgin must have meant the seating was 3-4-3 as you suggest.

I have flown several times with Virgin before, and the aircraft have been 747, but I usually have the morning flight VS 075.

I usually go online to Virgin website and manage my flights, but this time the ref number I have been given won't let me on. I dont have the E ticket number. This is the reason that I phoned to book my seats, and the misunderstanding about the 343.

If the seating is the same as the plane that Julie posted the picture of then I am happy with the seats I have been allocated.

    Thanks everyone for your help[msnsmile2]

    thanks thats great.

Is upper class on the lower level. I always thought you went up stairs but looking at it it looks like its on the same level as economy which I thought was downstairs.[msnscared]

reason I am asking is our son can't walk at all so we couldn't go upstairs but need room to carry him on hence me asking about the non emergency bulkhead seats.

    thanks

We always book 74 A&C, no one behind you.

Upper class is definately downstairs on the 747, its all PE in the bubble upstairs.

there are 2 rows of Premium economy downstairs, if this is what you have booked yuou need to contact Special assistance and let them know your situation and they should put you in the downstairs Pe seats. If you are flying first class this is downstairs in front of the PE seats.

have my thinking headon for next year and didn't think upper class would have been an option (because I stupidly thought it was upstairs [msnembarrased])

CDV, I am not sure what you mean by jumps seats (never heard that expression before) but there is nothing behind 74A&C. 74H&K have 2 seats for cabin crew behind their seats.
