    Need Help!!

    Hi everyone.
We have been going to florida for years now and have seen and done most things around Orlando.
We would love to experience and explore more things, so please help with your suggestions of things to see and do ,within say a two hour drive of Orlando.
We go on 18/4/2007 for 4 weeks.

    Many thanks
    Clive+June

    Hi Clive and Jane

Have you done everything in Orlando or just the attractions area?
Have you been to the centre of Orlando, to Lake Eola, the County Historic Museum and the Science Centre? The area round Lake Eola is lovely with some good eating places. How about Winter park? Another favourite of mine is Historic Bok Sanctuary and Lake Wales itself on the Lake front and Spook Hill. The centre of Lake Wales is interesting, I like to eat at Cafe Stuart.
What about Boggy Creek and Fish Club airboat rides, Lakeridge Winery, and the Lakefront at Historic Kissimmee?

I think you need to widen the net further than 2 miles and you will be able to enjoy De Leon. Mont Dora, Blue Springs etc.

Another area that is pleasant is the lake drive behind Lake Louisa there are garden centres and you can take the back road to Flights of Fantasy, anther interesting place which is not too far away.

Have you visited all the resorts, had tea at the Peabody and watched the ducks?
Eaten at the Ritz Carlton or been to Gaylord Palms to sat nothing of all the Disney Resorts.
Have you been to Disneys Wilderness Preserve? What about Old Town and the town of Celebration?

There are often local events which may co-incide with your visit which will be fun to go to.

If you say when you are going I am sure someone on here will know of a locl festival which you may not have been to.

Mainly I would say that you need to be prepared to drive for an hour or so and that opens up so many great bew things.

We have been going regularly for 20 years and have not exhausted our 'to do' list because we always have to visit some of our favourites and we keep adding new things.

There have been a few threads like this in the past Clive/June if you have time to search through there are some great ideas. I asked something simialr about 2 years ago and got some great responses.

We have been to Florida about 30 times in the last 5 years and I am always looking for new things to do as we are not really park perople and there is just so much out there.

Hi Clive and Jane Thanks for all the info, I did mean to put two hours drive and not two miles, sorry about that.
We go out on the 18/4/2007 for 4 weeks.
Some of the things you mention sound interesting and we will look into them.
Thanks again for your valuable input.
