Villas Old & New - Which Areas / Location

Hi quick question others may be able to help with, just out of curiosity really

Been to numerous Villas over the past 20years in the Orlando / Kissimee area, last time 9 years back for Christmas 1st time 30 years back for 3 months Port Richey

Will be returning again July for the whole six weeks holiday and cant wait

Having found a villa (Sanctuary West Haven) and booked, it seems a lot of the newer properties and areas appear to be west end of 192 watermania area

whereas in the past going back 9+years the properties seemed to be located more east / central 192 ecolodge area,

area am I right in thinking this are the newer developments located more in this area

Not really - there are newer developments all around the area and not just limited to one area.

A lot of the newer communites that have sprung up are on Highway 27 which runs perpendicular to the 192 at it's western end.

John's right, there are newer developments all over the place, some of them still being built.

There are a lot of new developments going up all over the place. You can never be sure where they will spring up.

I am sure you will find some interesting developments since you were there last time.We did after a 10 year gap of visiting.

The Sanctuary is a lovely development, and is very well situated. Champions Gate is about 3 minutes away, and Disney about 10-15 minutes away. I stayed in The Abbey at Westhaven which is beside The Sanctuary, and in my humble opinion, is a nicer area than the 192. Sometimes the 192 can get just a little too busy. I think the Sanctuary was only built in 2004/5, so is quite new too.

    Hi,
I must agree with Nuala, The Sanctuary is in a great location providing easy access to shops, theme parks, restaurants and both coasts but also set in the peaceful surroundings of a wildlife conservation area. Champions Gate is just a 2 minute drive and in the opposite direction is the US27. The west end of the 192 is the more 'sedate' end with a variety of good restaurants. The more 'glizzy', 'neon lights' area is further east towards Old Town and the Econolodge / Old Lake Wilson Road. From West Haven you have easy access to both ends within about a 5/6 minute drive.
As an Owner on The Abbey at West Haven I may be a little biased but I do think you've made a great choice.
Have a fabulous vacation, you'll see a huge difference since your last visit!
    Jeanette
