Thanks Alan & Jude for the Virgin Atlantic Flying Club credit card tip. We have now enrolled in the Flying Club and are considering the credit card. Not sure we want to pay £115 annual fee for the Black card, but the White card sounds ok. Just out of interest, how many points did you have to collect in order to save equivalent of £600?[msnwink]

Oops, didn't notice the £115 annual fee when I applied for the card! Thought it was a good deal! Better not tell Alan!!

Still, as we have saved £600 on our August 07 flights, I suppose it doesn't really matter. We needed 2000 airmiles per person so 8000 in total. Like I said, you get awarded 6000 miles as soon as your card is issued and then you get 2 miles per pound spent. We were lucky that we had 4000 miles from our last flight so had more than enough with those and the free 6000 miles.
