Can anyone help.
We are looking into moving for Florida in the next two years but we have a 13 year old daughter who thinks that her life will end without her friends. What we want to do is try and get her talking and perhaps meeting up with some girls near to where are villas is located. Does anyone know of a Pen Pal sight which she could go on.

Maybe you could contact or go and see the school she may attend, or perhaps her present school could arrange contact school to school

Laura, there is a kids section to this forum maybe initially get her involved with that and like minded kids whose parents own in FL.
I think the school idea would be cool, find kids that want to commnicate from the local schools and they could meet up on your hols before you mov over.

We are in the same boat as you Laura, we are hoping to move over in the summer of this year(in the visa process just now!). We have two daughters of 14 & 11 the youngest is'nt as bothered as the eldest, they are both excited but nervous too. Where are you hoping to move to? we are going to be living in Harmony(St cloud), hopefully once they get into school there they will meet friends that live in the neighbourhood. Let's hope your daughter comes round to the idea that she will make new friends. I'm sure my two daughters would enjoy chatting with yours. [msnsmile]
