My husband has just got home from manchester city centre and its taken him 3 hours to do a 30 mins trip in normal rush hour traffic[msnsad]

All the motorways have some closure or another and my nephew has spent all day trying to come up from Bucks and he is still not here[msnsad]

Horrendous here in Staines. The question is, do I risk going home on the motorway and having my car blow away, or go the more scenic route and meeting a fallen tree on the way home?![msnscared]

What a day here 6 miles from Southport
The winds have been roaring around the house all day

We also lost power for 5 hours back on again, but on reduced power until the problem is fixed
Makes you realise how much we rely on electricity not only did we not have power
the phones don't work with out power or the gas central heating
Has calmed down a little now.
This time last week I was enjoying the Florida weather, wish I was there now.

We saw our daughter off at Gatwick airport today, en route to Barbados to join her new ship. The 'plane was apparently rocking about on the runway so take off was a bit hairy. I certainly had everything crossed.

The winds were very powerful on the M25 going home, and lots of debris on the A3. We, too, have lost fences.[msnmad]

Near my Office - New Malden it was awful yesterday and lots of debris on the road. 6 miles away, Banstead, where I live, seems to have been very lucky, not that I have seen anything in daylight yet.

My mum was without power in Westhoughton last night. The power didn't go until 6pm which surprised me. Also she has lost fence panels.

I work in Staines, but I actually live in Camberley.

I eventually chose to take the back route home, and it was even better than normal!!!

The only problem I had was when I got back home, and a 100meter section of roof was hanging off the side of an apartment block in town!!
