Leisurely start to the day DH and DD2 went off to play tennis, DD1 and 3 hit the pool I hit the board, the ironing board! Trevor the man from the management company popped round (ever wished you weren’t ironing wearing your swimming costume)! He wanted to ask if we had topped the pool up yesterday and left the hose pipe running. Not us, he thought it may have been local kids messing about!
Arrived at the Magic Kingdom, our favourite park at 2.00pm, after trying unsuccessfully to blag our way in to the Contempory valet parking. ADR or no ADR the security guy was having none of it.
Crowd levels were fairly high; I know what else did we expect at this time of the day. We decided to do our favourite rides. First got fastpass to Big Thunder Railroad then fought our way down to the haunted mansion. People were already in place for the parade. As a consequence only waited 15 mins and we were in. Spotted the hidden Mickey on the dining table. The parade had already started so we went back to BTR and straight on using the FP. Loved it. Grabbed a FP for Splash Mountain but not until after dinner. I wondered if that was wise at the time!
Bailed out of the Magic Kingdom and got the monorail to the Contemporary and our date with Mickey. After a short wait and the family photo we were seated. A good selection of food and healthy to boot, not a French fry in sight. The desserts were great! Interaction with the Characters was excellent to the point where you found your self thinking just leave me alone and let me eat! Again DD2 was well catered for and the chef cooked a lovely chocolate cake just for her. Bill $150. including the tip.
Back at the MK at 6.15nwhere the crowds had thinned out considerably. Several trips to the restrooms later by DD3, we think she probably ate too much, we only just made Splash in time. Splash was brilliant wet yet again! Small World next DH favourite ride and only a 10 minute wait. Got a FP for Pooh and his friends.
Walked straight into Philamagic loved it the smells are excellent not that any of us will ever be hungry again.
Another walk on next to Buzz Lightyear and we did every thing we could to sabotage DH normally high score.
My favourite next yes it’s the Transportation Authority of Tomorrow cheesy I know but you never wait to go on it, ever.
Time for Pooh and DD3 loved it a lot. Straight on to Snow White Scary Adventure and for the first time not one of us were scared. You can see how the crowds had thinned by how many walk on’s were managed.
Time to take up positions for Wishes, we just about squeezed our selves into 3ft square at the top of Main St, so that’s where everyone had gone! Tinker bell flew and Wishes was just breathtakingly wonderful. A mallard next to us on the grass slept throughout! At this point we always split up after allocating the girls between us and it’s each man to his self. The race is on to get back to the car first by what ever means. Amazingly even with all those people it only took half an hour and we all finished up on the same ferry.
We thought things had gone too smoothly and the dreaded road works on the 192 were back and we didn’t get home until 11.45.
