What no Postcards 4 April Illumininations Cruise

What No Postcards- 4 April- Tyhpoon Lagoon and Illumination Cruise- 87f

    DH 42 designated driver
    Me 43 chief planner
DD1 (14) you are ruining my life
    DD2 (11) can’t be bothered
DD3 (9) loves her mum and Pooh bear

Well today the Americans went else where and half of southern England came out in their place.

Found a refillable mug in the kitchen and took it with us after a good clean. At Blizzard Beach for 10.00 and it was already busy. Found 5 chairs near the beach. Got the mug re bar coded for $4 that’s $6 saved. I settled down with a book the others went and played coming back occasionally to drip over me and tell me what done and for DD2 to give me her wedgey rating for each slide! Apart from a couple of circuits of the lazy river and a frolic in the waves that was it for me. I love this park! Funnel cake for snacks. One saw one person faint today an improvement of yesterday’s total.

All feeling a bit fried so we left at three for DTD. The girls have a daily allowance of $10 each and they all hording it rather than spending, very odd. Home taking our favourite short cut and get out the George Foreman now for some reason re named the George Formby grill and cooked burgers.

Back out at seven for what we hoped would be a holiday highlight the Illumination Cruise. Sherbeth Rd shortcut again and parked up at The Beach Club. Later to find that we should have parked at the Yacht Club instead. Never mind it was a fab place very up market, yes we could really see ourselves staying here! Walked along to the Yacht Club and met up with the people we were sharing the boat with. The skipper was great fun full of information. Cruised around the lagoons a bit great views of MGM and then moored under a bridge at Epcot. We were given chips and soda while we waited. Illuminations were as usual fantastic and it was great to see them away from the crowds especially when we saw every one streaming out at the end. Cost including a good tip $150 and worth every cent.

All into Beaches and Cream for delicious milk shakes, unfortunately there was quite a wait then a final walk to soak up the atmosphere. DD 2 and 3 fell asleep in the car on the way back. Bed at 11.30 a late night for us!

Top Tip - buy a refillable mug for the water parks

Thanks for the tip. Never knew you could take the refill mug and have it re-coded. You learn something new every day.[msnsmile2]

    Hi Guys

We have taken refillable mugs back for years. We now keep ours in the owners lockup in our villa. Maybe it would be an idea to let guests use them???

Hi Elaine i didn't book the cruise but went in with some one else who was advertising spare space. There were 10 of us in total and you had to hire the entire boat. It cost each family $150. I know you book through Disney and think its the same line you book the resturants on. They are difficult to get. You can also view Wishes from a boatuote]
