What No Postcards 1st April 2006 –Bomas and Downto

What No Postcards 1st April 2006 –Bomas and Downtown Disney
    NOW WITH PHOTO'S!!

    DH 42 designated driver
    Me 43 chief planner
DD1 (14) you are ruining my life
    DD2 (11) can’t be bothered
DD3 (8) loves her mum and Pooh bear

All awake at 4.00 am Aghhhhhh. Spent our time unpacking.

Had a breakfast reservation at Bomas but first we had to get there. Decided to take the Sherbeth Rd short cut and it worked well coming out near the Wilderness Lodge.

Parked up, after showing our ID, the girls didn’t need any and looked around the spectacular interior of the hotel, wow. Nice breakfast lovely choice and great little pastries. [:P]I don’t think we did it justice not wanting to look like pigs. The chef came out and talked DD2 through what she could eat and made her fresh gluten free pancakes. The juice drinks were lovely. The bill was $100. an expensive breakfast but just about worth it. Had a look at the animals at the viewing stations and listened to some of the talks about them. Admired the swimming pools and pretended we belonged there. Got lost on the way home trying to find our way onto the shortcut.

Called into Publix on the way home for everything we forgot to buy yesterday! Back at the villa it was pool and spa time. Every one got their second wind so we all piled back into the car and off to DTD. DH loves it there I’m not so sure! Priced up post cards in the Disney store sure we can get them cheaper in Wal-Mart so leave them. Still couldn’t find the shortcut home. Home and made a start on one of the two bottles of Baileys which I fell asleep drinking, all in bed by 8.30!

Top tip - use the Sherbeth/Blacklake rd short cut if you want to by pass the traffic on 192.

Lovely pic. We found the chef at Bomas very helpful too for our evening meal. Hubby's a coeliac too. Did you come across anyone who thought it was an allergy to sugar?
