We've bumped into people we know on a couple of occasions in Florida, once at the Beltz a family who the wifes brother is one of my husbands oldest friends and another time a family who we knew but not particularly well.
Luckily we've never had the embarrassing experience one of my work colleagues had, on her first "grown up" trip to Greece when she was around 20, her friends persuaded her to sunbathe topless for the first time ever on the basis of "nobody knows you and you'll never see them again so what harm can it do?" After 10 mins she found out, when a familiar voice called out "Hi Sylvia, didnt tell me this was where you were coming to" and when she looked up it wasn't sunburn making her blush bright red when she realised it was her new boss, for whom she'd only been working for about a month.
Dec 2005 my daughter bumped into a fellow Uni student who was on same course has her, meet in Wallmart getting her nails done.[clap]

I had to reply to this topic.
On our first time in Florida we spent one week in Orlando at the parks and one week in Miami. During our stay in Miami we went out to breakfast one morning and my son pointed out a chap at the other end of the restaurant wearing a Swindon town football shirt. We live near Swindon so this was amazing enough, but on closer inspection I realised it was a chap that sits behind me at work. I knew he had gone on holiday at the same time as me but I had no idea where he was going.
The first time we went we were standing in a queue for winnie the pooh ride and someone shouted "hey grove" turned round and it was some friends we hadnt seen in a long time,so we all went and had a drink together which was lovely.
another time we were in Walmart and we saw phil's grans next door neighbours and another time we saw a friend in Ross Dress For Less.
