Yes I read on the V-flyer site that new packs where being introduced from 24 Jan with products by Cowshed?

This past week I've been looking on E-bay and picked up some other airlines first class packs. I want to make this trip something my sister will remember for a long time. She has no idea and thinks she is going premium as we did last year. Her ticket also includes the car home so hopefully we have covered all angles and she will have a really relaxing holiday which she justly deserves.

We can't wait to see her face when she realises, when we queue we will be standing in the same area so she wont find out until the last minute.

Just need to work out how to stop her trying to pay the difference from what we told her was the ticket price. Over to husband I think as he's a better stretcher of the truth[msnsmile2]

After all this research I'm still not sure what exactly can be taken on board. I thought the only restriction was on water and everything else must be a max of 100ml and not to exceed a total of 1000ml. I read that aerosoles was another item that couldn't be taken on board. Will have to ring Virgin when I return from Spain next week, I'll also have a look at Stanstead when I go through security check-in. The list there is so long it's hard to read through it all.

Strange but the word "Compensation" isn't mentioned but instead says "gesture of goodwill"[msnwink]

Zena I can't give you a link as I think it will be deleted but if you look at the Virgin Atlantic website click on 'passenger information' at the left hand side and then click on 'LATEST NEWS update to new security measures in the UK', it will give you all the information you need regarding what you can and can't take on board.

Hope that helps and hope you and your family have a wonderful flight.

Just came back today on English Rose 747 from MCO to LGW, 3 hours late due to engine trouble prior to takeoff at Gatwick on outbound. Has to be 4 hour delay for food voucher at MCO checkin told us.
Plane pretty empty, we each had 3 seats each and slept most of the flight with legs up, what a difference that makes, no swollen feet or ankles. Recaro seats comfortable but armrests don't fold fully back.
Food OK, crew friendly, entertainment seemed to be mostly working except 2 channels weren't but we slept anyway.

It amazes me why they use all these old planes with no games for the kids to go Orlando. Orlando being advertised as one big childrens playground and the planes have no games. We flew to Hong Kong for Xmas and had a brand new plane called Surfer Girl and it was lovely. Full, stop and start films and many games. The controls came out of the seat in front under the tv screen. There are also games on the flights to Las Vegas (not many kids go there) and New York for all the business commuters, obviously!

Complaining to Virgin Holidays is just as bad as Virgin Atlantic! What on earth will Virgin Media be like?!
