    Seasons 52

We had the pleasure of eating there this evening and it was fantastic. Claire had the Red Snapper curry and thought it was the best meal she has had in Florida this holiday. Very trendy, not massive portions and not over the top expensive. We would really recommend this restaurant.

I have heard very good reports about Seasons 52 but have yet to try it out. Did you have to make a reservation?

We eat here at least once per trip and love the food. Can thoroughly recommend the Flatbread starters. It's the only restaurant in Orlando where I have ever eaten a dessert. I love the choice in the glasses and the portions are enough without making you feel as though you have to eat your way through a mountain!!

No fries, no burgers, no ribs, no steaks. Such a wonderful change from the other restaurants. All the food is beautifully cooked and as healthy as possible.

It is always a good idea to make a reservation because it is very popular with locals. You can either eat inside or you can book a table outside on the deck which overlooks the lake. It's lovely out there and we always book a table on the deck. At night you can see some of the Disney fireworks while you're eating. On cooler evenings they have burners going to keep you warm.

You'll feel more comfortable eating here if you dress up a bit, as you are unlikely to find people straight from the Parks in shorts and T shirts.[msnwink]

Seasons 52 is in the Dr. Phillips area, on West Sand Lake Road, just off Interstate 4 at junction 74, near International Drive. They don't seem to have a young children's menu and I have never seen very young children in there. There are some vegetarian dishes although not a big choice. The menu changes weekly, hence the '52' part of the name.

It isn't really the place to take young kids or kids who only like to eat certain foods because they don't cook the usual Orlando fare of burgers, fries, wings, nuggets, etc. etc.. That's a big part of what makes it such a great place to go.

We went as guests of friends and went quite early (17:30)but even then I think reservations are wise. Don't think there was a Childrens menu, our son Jack (9) had a filet mignon and there were no complaints! we all shared a flatbread and a salad/

looks very nice Carla, perhaps if the children are having a "good day" we may consider it for an early evening meal

we are not really a burger, fries or nuggets family, well maybe the occasional time[msnembarrased] my daughter will eat any type of fish so she'll be fine with that or the veggie choice and my son the most awkward to please will be more than happy with any type of bread and then those little pots of desserts, i'd quite like the desserts too[msntongue]
