personally i liked Ben the best but when it came to the last two i think that ray should have won! and that simon cowell chose a winners single more suited to leonas voice and style which gave her a last minute advantage

if anyone thinks they have heard this song before then yes you probably have, it's from a sandals holiday advert [msnwink] a very american looking advert shown here in the uk on sky tv

and he's a very clever man mr cowell is, you can bet your bottom dollar that leona will be a guest on american idol and that the song was chosen to appeal to the americans too, our final had a lot of american idol touches to it so it makes sense that some x factor would cross over

it probably was steph, but with the holiday adverts coming anytime soon you'll have to watch out for it too

the advert was for weddings at sandals so the sickly lyrics would be quite appropriate [msnwink]my youngest wants to buy the cd with his christmas money so like it or loathe it i'll be humming it soon

We thought the new single was absolutely awful - the lyrics were especially bad and sounded like something I could knock up in a few spare minutes. No doubt it will do well with all the hype behind it but I did think they could try harder and come up with something a bit more inspiring for the winner to sing.

My daughter who is 10 was singing along to the new record the first time she heard it.[:O] I think it was written with Leona in mind.

I think Leona has a great voice but needs to have more confidence and personality. Ray had a good voice but not sure where, apart from shows, he would 'fit'.

My kids got bored with this year's X Factor - does anyone think it has lost its appeal?

Yes, definitely. We're totally fed up of the old samey reality TV programs and wish the TV companies would come up with some new ideas for a change.

I watched this one and indeed I watch American Idol as well-I've got to say that X Factor seems to be more of a game for the judges than searching out new talent-The standard of the final 12 on American Idol knocks spots off the final 12 on X Factor and when you think of the likes of Kelly Clarkson, George Huff, Carrie Underwood, and others on the American version-Who can name anybody-apart from Will Young who has done anything 3 months after the Brit version?

Might have come from a different programme but Lemar has done well.
