What to wear at Christmas? Weather wise.

Hi, when we went out in June we were always in shorts and t-shirt as at the parks most days & nights. We didn't dine out at any restaurants or go to anywhere special in the evenings (although may do this time e.g. Cirque de Soleil). I am just wondering whether we need anything 'warmer' and 'smarter' for this Christmas trip? Thanks for your help.

If you're going out for Christmas lunch, then it might be nice to smarten up a bit, depending on where you're going.

Other than that, day time is usually T-shirts and shorts weather but the evenings tend to get a bit chilly so layers are a good idea as are jeans, etc. You'll probably travel in something warm from the UK so may have a fleece with you?

Don't take loads of clothes with you as you can buy them there very cheaply and you won't have room in your suitcase for your purchases otherwise. [msnwink]

    Have a great time. [msncool]

Apparently according to another homeowner they are having a cold snap at the moment so you might need to keep a couple of warmer things with you, handy for when you get back to UK anyway. gloves, hats and scarves are the sort of things that are usually in short supply and if you are watching the fireworks it can be pretty cold late at night.

We found a good padded jacket very useful last Christmas for the evenings, especially if you will be at the parks.

I have been out here for nearly 3 weeks - home tomorrow - and am usually out at this time. During this visit the temperature in the Orlando area has twice dropped close to freezing as cold fronts have come through(frost warnings issued) and that is not unusual.

On the other hand it has been above 80F(27C) for some days.

Around Xmas you can expect the average Max temp to be low 70's mid afternoon and high 50's at night. However as indicated above, you must expect some periods to be much colder than that.

Glad somebody asked the question as we have just started to pack as we fly out Saturday morning. Anymore tips would be helpful
