Is there a better part of town?

Hi, this is our first time of booking a villa in Orlando and we were just wondering if there is considered to be a "better part of town" as seems to be in most areas. If so where is it?

    Thanks

    Helen

Many of the 'better parts of town' are not zoned for short term villa rental so it is not an option to rent a villa in those areas.

I wouldn't say there is a "better part of town" really. It's hard to imagine what it's like if you haven't been - the villa communities are spread out over quite a large area , mainly off the 192 or Highway 27, each community is self-contained really. Some are newer than others and some are starting to show their age a bit, some are nearer to Disney etc and some are a bit further out, you get more for your money if you're prepared to travel a few extra miles each day.

In my opinion all areas of Orlando are great[msnsmile] It all depends on what you are looking for. As close to Disney as you can, near all the hustle and bustle, slightly away from the busy areas, resort community, golf community. All the communities in general are no more than 20 minutes from Disney which is nothing as the roads are easy to drive on.
If you have a look at all the Orlando villa sites you will find a commuity page which will give you more info on the areas.

    Have fun choosing[msnsmile2]

Which are the best communities? I know that is probably a hard question to answer, but like you say, not having been its difficult to know whether you are picking a good one.
    Thanks

HI, what we really want is to feel safe and comfortable. We'd also like it to feel modern and lunxurious but with no building around us. We're not too bothered about being too close to Disney as we want to do lots of different things.

There is no answer to this I'm afraid. All communities are really nice and have very happy guests who love them. What suits one guest might not suit another and vice versa.

Sounds like most communities would fit that bill - they are all safe, modern looking and comfortable.

You could select the villa you would like and then talk to the owner about the area.

Hi Helen, welcome to the forum [msnsmile2]

We owners all bought our Florida homes wanting a safe, secure, luxurious, modern home within easy reach of the parks. I think we have all found it The communities all have very active Home owner associations, that require us to maintain our homes to a high standard, therefore keeping the communtites looking neat and tidy.
Your best bet, would be to put in a general enquiry to the four websites above stating all the things you would like in the home for your stay and when you have a shortlist, ask the owners for more details of the community.
Staying in a privately owned villa definately gives you the most choice for your Florida Holiday.
