travel insurance for the not so young

hi we are thinking of taking my mother-in- law in october . i have had a quick look for insurance and seems to be an arm and a leg as she is 81. anyone know of anywhere we can maybe get it for just the arm ?[msnwink]

Try Tesco. They insured my parents (65 and 72), both with medical conditions, for what we felt was a reasonable amount considering. And they even gave them an annual policy, which very few companies do for those of a certain age.

Age Concern gave me a quote for my MIL, 86, with many,many problems, they just loaded the excess.

I can recommend Global Insurance, they insure anyone up to 90 years old with no extra premium - tel 01903 203933. last year the cost was £69 pp.

My parents used them last year and unfortunately my father became ill and could not travel, they were refunded their flight ticket cost within 2 weeks.
