    Hilton or Bewleys Manchester?

Anyone have opinions on either of these hotels? I have looked through all the other threads and can't see that anyone mentioned the Hilton - we are only considering it as we have a card for them so would collect more points.

It's only two of us and still considering the parking or train.

We have stayed at Bewleys many times now. We like this hotel however we did look at the Hilton this time. Very similar prices however breakfast is £15 each at the Hilton (£7 at Bewleys)and you have to pay for WiFi internet (Free at Bewleys).

Good point about breakfast, it soon bumps up the prices. Having said that, we usually stay at Travelodge and don't have breakfast there, so for us it wouldn't be any different.

We stayed at Bewley's in September and found it very good and would stay there again,we had a meal in the restaurant that was nice.We have stayed at the Radisson but at £7.50 for a glass of wine it is a bit over the top.

I bet it wasn't the type of glass you can fit a whole bottle in either.

Well, to book hotel and parking they are pretty much the same, but if we decide room only then it would possibly be Bewleys.

Travelodge has served us very well since it opened. Very good prices in fact room only for the night we want is only £15 as they have a promotion on. The Bistro there is very nice etc, but we want to try somewhere different.

Choices, choices - waiting for hubby to let me know whether we need the parking or not before I decide.

Thanks a lot for the input.

Hilton is good at the Airport, or do you mean the new Deansgate Hilton (5*)

If you have a gold Honors card you will get a bottle of wine, and a free continental breakfast as part of your routine upgrades,so you may save some cash, even though the initial cost may be higher.

we have stayed at them all over the last few years, our favourite if the Radisson as you don't need transport from the hotel to the terminal, very handy especially when you get back loaded with cases!!
But it is expensive so when we are on a tight budget trip we always use Bewleys.

We booked the innkeepers lodge at Stockport about 10 minutes from where we are parking. (J1 M60)

Family room including plentiful continental brekkie at £29.95 for the room.

    Twilight check in with BMI

Airparks (J3 M60) winter special £19.95 for up to 3 weeks parking.
