    TWIGHLIGHT CHECK IN MANCHESTER

Had a quick search round the forum and can't quite make my mind up plus I could not find anything on the Virgin sight. Can anyone confirm if there is now a twighlight checkin for Virgin at Manchester? I have only ever used the charter twighlight at Manchester in the past.

I know you can online check in but I need to get rid of my bags on the afternoon before I fly. Can you do this with online check ins?

I know someone will have all the answers

As far as i know Virgin do not have a twilight check in at Manchester we have flown with them several times the last time in September and i don't think it was available then.I usualy check in online and drop the bags off at the drop off area about 3 hours before we fly.If you stop at the Radisson you can drop your bags off in the morning and then go back for breakfast it only takes a couple of minutes to walk back.

Thanks Debbie, I am staying at one of the airport hotels the night before and then meeting up with friends but I really can't manage all the cases in the morning so need to get them in the night before if poss. Left luggage might be an option.

We flew with them last week. The morning plane was full and no twighlight check in at Manchester. By the time we got to the airport at 6am the check in desk was open and there was no queues. We stopped at Bewleys, drove from the hotel to terminal 2 parked in the short stay carpark then drove back to the hotel for breakfast
The only airline that i am aware of that does twighlight check in at Manchester is BMI. We used this facility back in May and it gave us longer in bed before the flight

My Travel also have a twighlight checkin at Manchester. I think the best thing I can do is try and track someone down at Virgin.

CDV definitely no twilight check in with Virgin at Manchester. The only place they have it is at Gatwick, not even Heathrow. It's purely down to space available to the airline - I would look into the left luggage option by ringing the airport directly.

Thanks Jill that's what I needed a definitive answer, I have used the left luggage at Manchester before so know the score there. It makes me want to go back to the charters who provide the facility of checking bags in the day before as it makes ife so much easier.

I asked when I booked my flights and there is no twilight check in, the guy told me they were hoping to start one but not in the near future, the only option was on line check in.

All that i can say about the online check in from my experience last week was waste of time. I tried for 2 hours online to check in the day before and it would not work. I then called Virgin direct and they tried but they got no where. They said it was a system problem so we arrived early at the airport for check in and even though the flight was full there was no queue
