    Hello Karen
I know that you are are right and that no malice was intended but I will certainly think twice now about attending a slimming class and then (unbeknown to me)(theoretically) having my weight discussed on an internet forum.
    Kind Regards
    Tricia

    Hello Julie
I admire all that you do on here and obviously you are an inspirational force but I do not think that chatting about ladies in your class or others is very professional.

    Hi Trica,

Welcome to the OV slimming Club!

However, I think you are missing the point, and I make no apology for this discusion. No names are EVER mentioned as per SW club rules however when you join SW you agree that although your actual weight is never disclosed however losses and gains are. This is part of the psychology and science of successful weight loss and maintenance at SW and is certainly not unprofessional and if you had been reading this thread regularly you would have realised that.

There is no shame in a gain as we say at SW!

What this 9lbs gains shows us is that this lady planned for it, was in control, enjoyed it and as per her plan is back on track for the rest of the year, so instead of going off the rails permanently and piling on stones she has been in control, The weight will be off again in a few weeks and as my training and knowledge has taught me she will go on to lose many stones this year and next year will probably plan to have a similar Christmas. At SW we all learn and share experiences that's what makes it the most successful way to lose and maintain weight in th UK.

If this discussion has put you off joining a club then I feel sorry for you as you will miss out on a fantastic way to eat healthily and successfully keep your weight off.[msnsmile2]

    Hi Julie and ladies.
A quiet but interested reader of the ov slimming club and inspired by the conversation and advice.Bearing this in mind I hope that the lady who has put on so much weight does not read this and be mortified that her weight gain is a topic for discussion.

it's good to welcome you onboard Tricia, always nice when someone steps out from being the "quiet reader" and i'm glad to hear that you have found this topic inspiring, however i think you may have read far to much into a comment mentioning a weight gain, us ladies on this topic discuss and learn from each others mistakes and triumphs every week and i'm always one of the first to hold my hands up and ask for support when i've had a bad week and the scales show a gain, sometimes a small gain and sometimes a huge one[msnembarrased]

like Julie says the object on here is to share our good times and bad and hopefully to support each other when the going gets rough

NO ONE IS RIDICULED OR PUT DOWN FOR THEIR WEIGHT GAINS OR LOSSES, anyone reading this post or being part of this topic for a long time only has to read back to see this

so with this in mind Tricia, i have a question for you, are you onboard to share and hopfully help others through your slimming experiences, or was this a one off post on this topic to perhaps put people in their place?

    Mizzy

I've not popped in for a while as you are all well aware but after reading comments on the last page I felt I must drop a line.

I haven't been part of this OV slimming group for a few months although I do read often to see how everyone is getting on. I can't believe the comments which have been written. I have never had anything but total encouragement from all the ladies who regulary give tips on the forum. Mizzy and Julie (Mach 2) are an inspiration to anyone wanting to join a slimming club. If Julie ran her class closer to where I live then I wouldn't miss a class.

Have a great New Year everyone.

congratulations and well done Kitty on your weight loss and here's to a successfull new year for you[clap][clap][clap]

i don't think it matters as to where you go ww, sw, scottish slimmers or just healthy sensible eating as long as it works for you

hopefully this subject of discussing weight gains and losses will not be taken out of context again, we are here to support each other and to get inspiration, ideas and hopefully learn from each others acheivements and mistakes

so here's hoping we all of us have a successfull new year ahead of us[clap][clap][clap]
