    25th Jan for my op Julie B [msnscared] and despite me saying otherwise i am actually a little teensey bit scared, it was supposed to be the 4th Jan but i need a particular surgeon and he had an emergency

    funny you should say about your mum being in LA, we have a lot of similarities in our lives don't we mrs?, my parents where there recently they combined it with a trip to san francisco,having never been out of the country until their 60's they now seem to be jetting all over the place, my father worked abroad when we where small but mum never had a passport until a few years ago

    Julie, you should have a bash at the christmas cake recipe Pat posted it works out at 9 syns for 1/6th of a 7" round cake which is a nice fat chunky piece for that amount of syns and it tastes gorgeous, omit the brandy, use strong cold tea instead and it 8.5 syns per slice[msntongue] i made three of them over the christmas period, one for a tester, one that i burn't the side of but it still tasted good, and the last one for new year, all my new years guests where pretty impressed, wanted the recipe and where totally suprised it was made without any fat

    it's been very quiet on here today, hope everyone is having a good time, hitting those sales probably?

    i'm around Julie, being pretty good today, nice long walk with Olly again this morning, uphill through the fields[sporty]

    thinking of my holiday now so perusing the internet and thinking about clothes, will report in later with food diary

    great food day for me today and i'm hoping, fingers crossed for a small loss tommorrow night, i did put a few lbs on over new year so to get those few off and then register a small loss from the christmas weigh in will be great

    It is quiet!

    Well, nice long walk for me too this morning with the dogs, then another one down to the river to give the dogs a bath when I realised the spaniel had obviously rolled in something not a pleasent whiff! Still, they weren't complaining - two walks within a hour of each other!

    Food diary not good today[msnsad], had my normal porridge for brekkie, then missed lunch then had a chinese for tea[msnembarrased]. I know chow mein is not too bad a choice so I had a bit of that, but also a bit of some other stuff too. (it was nice though). Never mind, draw a line under it and move on as they say.

    I've just ordered my park tickets online from this site. so now I'm[msnsmile2]. Another thing done!

    Evening all, food diary not so good for me either

    fruits and yog
    banana and grapes
    half a roll with laughing cow
    sweet and sour chicken with egg fried rice sw style
    HiFi bar HE B
    skinny latte HE A
    not enough water and then too many choccies - got to get them out of the house[msnembarrased]

    Starting my new group tomorrow morning so fresh start again for me, DH is starting too which will really help[clap]

    Hi everyone - big welcome to Chris

    Hope everyone had a good weekend and is ready for the week ahead - it's going to be a long one [msneek]
    But it's going to be a good one for me - food and excercise wise that is!!!!

    breakfast - 2 oatbix with semi skimmed milk
    planned lunch - wholemeal pitta filled with chilli chicken, peppers and pine nuts
    planned dinner - mince, carrots, onions, kidney beans with tiny bit of mashed potato

    extras - activa yogurt, banana, apples, grapes, lots of water and green tea

    Planning a decent session at the gym too - will be interesting as men are going to be allowed to join from this week after it being a ladies only gym for the past 10 years

    Well thanks for making me so welcome.

    Summer 2005 I was 17st 7lbs, but within about 3 months I managed to get down to 14st 7lbs. I now weigh 14st 4lbs (as of this morning - I had a bit of a pre-diet binge over the weekend!!), but my target is 13st by June 6th.

    Hopefully this holiday can be my motivation to lose the weight.
