    Casinos?

    Hi

Does anyone know of any casinos around the kissimmee area? Is it legal for a bit of poker or slot machines? Ive heard of the casino cruises and boat casinos, but was wondering if there are any on land nearby. We will be staying at Orange Tree on the 27.

    Thanks

The nearest land based casino is the Hard Rock hotel & casino at Tampa. Pretty good for an evening's entertainment...[msnwink]

This sort of gambiling is still illegal in Florida so you normally have to go to the Indian reservations or on the Casino cruises.

Beef O'Bradys were doing a sponsored Poker tournament in the summer on Wednesday nights each week. It was backed by Budweiser and was free to enter, the winner won a prize.

The cruises have to wait till they are 3 miles offshore before they can open the tables so I'm surprised they have got a casino in Tampa.

We've done the Sterling one that was quite good (it's free and there is a bus pick up from the Florida Mall if you dont want to drive.

The land based Casinos are on Indian reservation land which does not come under USA law and regulations for gambling.
