Hi everyone
Thanks for all the great advice, looks like we will be going 8th to 22nd of October. I got some good flight prices from FlyGlobespan despite it being half term.
We did toy with doing a package hol to Spain next year but when you start pricing things up and see what you get for your cash it makes you realise just how good a villa holiday in Florida is. I am starting to realise that once you have holidayed in Florida everywhere else sorts of pales in comparison, certainly when you have two kids to keep amused. Looks like it will be Florida for a few years to come for us[clap]
Sorry, have not got around to doing a trip report this year, somehow the last two trips just dont seem to measure up to the unbeleivable things that happened on our first trip![msnwink] Second and third trip were much more sedate, doesnt seem the same without a hurricane to spice things up [msnwink]
Cheers

We're doing October next year as well, Big Mack. Well, 29/9 to 12/10 to be exact as schools up our way must be off slightly earlier. We're doing Globespan direct from Glasgow as well and got flights at £400 a person. The other option was Easter but they were after nearly double.
Just back on Sunday from 3 weeks there and the weather was glorious. In the 90's most days. Only went to Universal, but I have never seen the parks so quiet. Apart from last Thursday when I went to Universal's Halloween horror night and the park was heaving. Even the shops were rather empty.
We also flew with Globespan from Glasgow and I can honestly say they were on a par with the scheduled airlines, if not better - apart from having to buy any food (or take your own as we were in economy and had not booked a meal). Flights left and arrived on time, both ways. From the moment we arrived in Sanford, till we drove out of the airport, it took less than half an hour. I don't know what I was expecting from this airline, but I would thoroughly recommend them. Flights both ways were full, so they must be doing ok with this route.

Hi Mack
Sounds like you have got the Florida bug [msnsmile2]
Thanks for the feedback on Globespan Arlene.
We have used Icelandair twice and we used My Travel this year. Icelandair were okay with reasonable prices but now that i have gone direct i would not want to do the stopover in Iceland any more.
We used My Travel this year because we got good prices, Globespan announced that they would be starting a Florida service two weeks after i booked with My Travel, could have saved myself a few pounds but not to worry.
Sounds like October will be a good time to go, we have found a lovley looking villa on Oak Island Cove which has a hot tub and pool heating is included in the deal so we are looking forward to it very much now.
Cheers

can reccomend globespan we travelled in aug this year and the flights were really good we went premium economy and was well worth it as food and drinks are all in the price incl priority check in and priority boarding and longer seat pitch we paid an extra £80 each for this but we reckon if we had to pay for the food and drinks both ways it wouldnt work out any different pat
