    Homers Trip Part 3

    [u]Part 3</u>

    [u]Thursday 28th September</u>

Breakfasted at La Quinta and then set off for a day at MGM

Now I don't know what everyone else thinks about MGM but personally I really enjoy this park, although I do think it is in need of a few more decent thrill rides but hey that's me

After arriving and picking up an events map I decided we would head left and towards the new stunt show.

Along the way we popped on to the star wars ride I love this but again I do feel it is starting to show it's age in places, but great fun none the less.

Only disappointment was when we got off Michael spotted Darth Vader and just as he was about to get in the queued for a picture they closed it and said he was off but would be back later in the day, now this seemed to happen to us a lot today and I know they have times and such but you try telling that to an unhappy youngster!!!

Saw Muppet 3D on the way and again this is great fun, lots of smiling faces on the kids and lots on the big ones as well

Took our seats early for the stunt show, to be bombarded by love bugs again they were beginning to get on my pip!!!

The show I have to say is fantastic, and I wont spoil it but some of the stunts will make you watch the movies in a different light, I strongly recommend you see this show.

I had some problems today with my camera so just shows you should buy your camera way before you go so you have a chance to play with it!!!!

But we did wander round the corner and bump into these guys

Popped into the new Narnia exhibit and have to say it was a bit disappointing nothing much happened watched a bit of video and saw a bit of snow but that was it.

Off for a real couple of rides now and queued up for a go an Aerosmith no need to fast pass as the queue was 5 mins, again i don't have to tell you how good this rid is that first 5-4-3-2-1 ZOOOOOOOOOM is just fantastic.

I love this ride and by the way the band as well!

Quick trip over to Hollywood Hotel and was able to ride this 3 times on the run again I love this ride it is just great fun right from the walk through the front gate to getting in the lift it just all works so well.

Stopped for a snack in he sunset ranch market only to be driven insane by those blasted Love Bugs they were every where and the floors were black in places from crushed bodies I have to admit it did spoil the day a wee bit.

Had a further relaxing time watching the beauty and the Beast show it's great and a welcome rest for the feet although not sure the boys would agree.

We took advantage of the lack of crowds due to the parade and rode Aerosmith and Hollywood again and then wandered over to Indiana Jones.

We have seen this show a few times now but it is still great fun, I especially love the gag with the recruit from the crowd but again wont spoil it for others, go see it is fun.

We were coming back later in the week for Fantasmic so drove over for a wander around Downtown Disney, had not been here before except for early check in so had a good wander around the shops and picked up a few bits and bobs along the way.

We walked from Cirque du Soleil all the way around to the Capn Jack's restaurant and decided to get the boat back.

We were told it would be 10 mins for the boat to arrive but it was more like 30 and my feet were killing me.

This looked really nice but not for me as I don't do fish, I can catch them but eating them is another thing.

A quick nip into the Chinese for a takeaway on the way home to stuff our faces and collapse after another long but thoroughly enjoyable day (except for the love bugs!!!!)

    Another great report Homer.

You should have tried the ribs in Tony Romas they are terrific.[msntongue] Although my eldest would agree with you that the steaks are pretty good too.[msnsmile2]
