Part 2
Monday 25/9/06
Up early again woke about 7.00 so we breakfasted early at La Quinta :-)
Now having made numerous itineraries over the last 9 months day one came and................. it went straight out of the window!!!!
We had planned to go to Magic Kingdom on Monday but decided to hit Universal instead plugged in the sat nav and off we went, I must have programmed the sat nav with the wrong data as it decided to take us to the parking lot for cast and crew but we soon overcame that parked up and we were heading for the gates.
Decided to start at I.O.A and a good choice it was crowds were low and queue's were almost non existent
First stop was The Hulk walked straight on and rode it 3 times in a row, only place where there was a queue was for the front seat, personally I prefer the back seat, and managed to get James on this ride for the first time although there was a price to pay for me later!!!!
[u]Yikes looks a bit loopy</u>
Dr Dooms Fear Fall was next this is such a scream an you really feel like you are going to fly out of your seat! and then off to visit Spiderman.
The Spiderman ride for me is one of the best in both Universal parks we all know we are not falling off the top of the building but you still feel like you are!!!!
Then I had to pay the price for James's 3 goes on the Hulk, Popeye's Bilge Barges!!!! now personally I don't like water rides James loves them so off I had to go
[u]Wish I had my spinach this morning</u>
Managed to at least get my shoes and socks off before we set off so at least my poor feet would be dry afterwards... got absolutely soaked to the skin everything was wet down to my pants Kath did offer to lend me her pants but surprisingly enough I declined!!!
I just don't see the enjoyment people get on these rides walking round soaking wet just does not appeal to me
Maybe Universal should install hot air walkthroughs where you can stand for a while and dry out!!
Well as we were wet we decided to get on Ripsaw Falls as lets face it i could not get any wetter guess whatI did ................
Finished the watery bit with a ride on Jurassic Park I do enjoy his ride and did not get much wetter!!!!!
Stopped off for a snack in "The Burger Digs" and tried to dry out a bit
Next Stop on the lost continent was the Flying Unicorns and then onto Duelling Dragons, James did not want to go on and neither did Kath so me and Michael were the only ones brave enough to venture forth and choose our dragon..... We chose Fire!
Having ridden it four times on the run we as the re-ride door was open twice on Fire twice on Ice we decided to get back and meet up with Kath and James to be asked was the queue big as we were gone a long time........ told them we went on 4 times they did not believe us.
Had a rest and watched the Sinbad show this is great fun and would strongly recommend it to anyone especially fun for the kids but "Beware of the SPLASH ZONE!" you will get wet!!
Did the new Seuss Trolley ride much to the annoyance of the boys who thought it was "wimpy" so we took them on the Cat in the Hat as well.
So park done and it was only 2.00pm we whizzed round and rode Hulk again and then headed off for Universal Studios for the rest of the day.
Walked in and walked straight onto the Jimmy Neutron Blast and then crossed the road over to Shrek 4D both these are great fun and even though we have done them many times still enjoyed them both.
Slipped into Twister Michael was a little scared on this 2 years ago but loved it this time round oh and guess what ......... I got wet!!!!!
Queue for The Mummy was 10 mins but was more like 3 again a brilliant ride and well laid out inside on the queue area.
Time was moving on now and we put our best feet forward and headed for Earthquake this for me is starting to show it's age and whilst still good fun
