First time to florida, infact the USA

    Hi Guy's
    First time travelling to Florida.
Have booked first two weeks september 2007.
Myself and partner and my two boys ages 14 and 17.
At the moment i know i want to visit Miami beach, Daytona beach, eat at an American Diner, hire a Hummer and also hire a Harley.
I know we will be in the centre of all the Theme parks, but do not want to spend the whole holiday in them.[:I]
What should i be looking at visiting??. Which are the best and what else should i be looking at.[msntongue]
    Any information much appreciated.
    Cheers Dave.

Wow Dave, you are going to be busy!

It is difficult to say what is the best as everybody has different tastes. I would definately suggest Cirque du Soleil at Downtown Disney, tickets area available through www.park-tickets.com

Are you staying in a hotel or a villa? If you haven't yet booked accommodation, visit:

    Get planning!

DAYTONA is only one hour and a quarter from orlando .We have been for the day or stayed ,It has been hit by the last hurricane so be selected were stop stay as a lot of places are not back to normal even after a long time since .
Miami can be expensive but Fort Lauderdale there is a good beach and lot of new propertys going up even a new TRUMP HOTEL also appartments he is building .Not far to MIAMI .
Enjoy your stay when you go FLORIDA is great were ever you go .

Hi Dave BIG welcome to the forum, you will have a fabulous time and it is a good idea to plan your time whilst you are there to get the most out of it.The Hummer can be hired through here

    http://www.uscarhire.co.uk/prestige-...e-florida.aspx

Not sure about the Harley though, there are plenty of things to see and do as well as the theme parks,Miami is on our next must do list as is Daytona. The space coast is also a great place to visit with the Kennedy space center as well as Merritt island national wildlife refuge (well worth a look) and also Cocoa beach (fabulous)
    Happy holidays[8D]

    WOW Dave

Sounds like your going to have a amazing time, reading through this forum will give you so many ideas of what to do while you are out in Florida.

Why not take a look at the Florida guide http://www.orlandovillas.com/florida_guide/ and get some hands on reports from lots of people who share their experiences while over in the USA.

Are your flights booked? If not you could consider flying into Miami and out of Orlando (or vice versa) Miami is about a 4 hour drive from Orlando

Stay on these sites and use the Theme Park guides they are very good.
I always think that I am being patronising saying stuff like this but the first time I went to the states I was blown away by the size and scale of everything so don't over stretch yourself it is a completely different way of life and you will need to build in some villa/RandR time to chill out. I notice that you want to eat at an American Diner like with most things you'll be spoilt for choice but Johnny Rockets I think tries to stay to the 50's theme--I think that there's one at the Loop.

    Hi Dave

Sounds like you are into 'wheels' You might like to try the Richard Petty Driving Experience. It is located just before you enter the Magic kingdom Parking Lot and you can either drive yourself or be driven, at speed in a Nascar style stock car. You can find out more about it at

    http://www.1800bepetty.com/

You can arrange a trip to Miama via this site, we have some friends who did it recently and had a fantastic time. www.park-tickets.com It is a bit of a drive, so why not let someone else do the driving! [msnsmile]

    Have a great trip!
