I have just booked flights to New York in March (staying for three weeks) for an incredible £156 each return flying Virgin!! In the summer the same flights are £550 each!

Yes it includes tax, I couldnt believe the price, the cheapest we have ever flown to NY was about £800 with BA. We have booked with Airline network, they said that they had just got the flights in from Virgin. What I dont understand is that on the Virgin website the say that you wont get cheaper Virgin flights anywhere else....well I did????

They're cheaper because both airline Network and Lastminute.com have both got their taxes quoted wrongly. I would imagine both companies fares will be pulled pretty soon, last minute are slightly cheaper as they dont have a service fee.

They are also selling Orlando and various other destinations in the USA at less than the Virgin sales prices.

The flights on the Virgin site were from JFK and Newark, although most are into JFK and out of Newark. We prefer Newark airport purely becauce we stop in an airport hotel the night before we fly home, the hotels and the area around JFK doesnt feel so good as Neward, plus there is a nice shopping mall right opposite our hotel at Newark that we always go to while we are waiting for our flights.

Just checked the tax on my invoice and it all looks correct. Bargain
