    Hi,
I was talking to my mother in law the other day about hand baggage allowances and the no liquid ban. She is adamant about not leaving her oil of olay face cream as her skin gets dry - will this count as a liquid?
    cheers

Yes, I think so. She can pack it in her hold luggage of course.

Thanks Blott - I posted on hubbys id earlier by mistake - whoops. The problem is we are staying over the night before and i think we are doing a twilight check in of our baggage so it would be in her overnight bag which will have to go on as hand baggage. Personally I would just pack it in the case and go without until we get there but apparently she can't possibly do that!
    cheers

Heidi, as I get dry skin on my hands flying I can understand how your Mother in law feels. I am going to take spme lip salve and use it on my hands. They may well sell some form of solid cream though, so have a look and see

I guess she could always put a very small amount, enough for pre-flight, into a twist of cling film and then in a polythene bag. Then it can be thrown out before going to the airport.

Hi guys, yes your right I ought to be a little more sympathetic and have been thinking along the same lines. My idea was to soak cotton wool balls in the cream and then tie in a poly bag to then throw away the next morning.
    cheers
    Heidi
