So sorry to hear your news, it is not nice being made redundant but if you also have to cancel a holiday because of it, it must seem worse.
Hope things turn out OK for you and you find a new job quickly and still continue with your plans
Best of Luck for the future

Carrie, hope you find something else soon, don't give up hope of the holiday yet[grouphug]

Carrie, sorry to hear your news [grouphug]
This happened to me almost 4 years ago so I can imagine exactly how you must be feeling [msnsad]
I had a Florida trip booked for a few months after I was made redundant and I took the opportunity of adding an extra week to it while I had the time off work [clap] But I realise that I was very lucky to be able to do that.
I do hope you find something else very soon and that you can still have your Florida holiday.
Let us know how the job search goes - best of luck [grouphug]

Carrie,
Being made redundant is shocking and upsetting.
It may not seem like it but it's often said that things happen for a reason - let's hope that this 'opportunity' offers you a great chance to secure a far better job.
Fingers crossed that you are able to continue with your holiday.
Keep smiling!

Carrie-this is going to sound like a cliche but I was made redundant 4 years ago at the age of 46 with 30 years at the same company and with only O Levels-- I've never looked back- don't sell yourself short and recognise the skills that you have gathered.
There are loads of jobs out there-so don't panic-take a deep breath and make a plan.
Good Luck-Let us know when you find something and whether you are able to continue with your holiday planning
Stay positive, start looking for something new and well all keep our fingers crossed for you.[grouphug]
Sorry to hear your news Carrie, this happened to my husband when the second was born but it turned out better for us in the end as he was offered another job with more money, so all may not be lost just be positive and restock.
