I too like Maureen have been made redundant twice - in hindsight they both turned out for the better. I am currently being 'outsourced' so here I go again..... hang onto that holiday if you can.

Carrie- i was interested to see that you were with BT for 27 years. That's where I spent my 30.
The standard of training that you will have received in BT is recognised as being top notch so stress it on your CV and I'm sure that you'll get something.

sorry to hear of your bad news, worse things happen but it doesnt seem like it at the moment, if you are desperate for your holiday take a job doing anything as a temporary post till some other oppertunity comes along,keep smiling pat
hi all, first i want to thank all of you for your best wishes and concerns and your helpful advice, i have just been offered some bank work at a drug treatment centre which could lead to a full time position so im feeling so much more positive, still not sure re the holiday but if if get something soon maybe we can still go or at least postpone it until later in the year anyway im still hopeful and still reading the wonderful posts.
