    Colombus Day

I notice from another thread that lists the US holidays that the 2nd monday in October is a public holiday (Columbus day).

Due to my wifes pregnancy we have had to reschedule our planned xmas trip this xmas to October of next year and October 8th falls within our first week.

Does anyone know if this holiday is a busy time at Disney?

We were in Orlando this Columbus Day and although we didn't go to Disney, it was much the same as a normal day except the banks and government offices were closed. Guess what we had on our itiniery for the Monday!!
    Regards, Mark

Most of the schools are generally closed on Columbus Day as well. I highly doubt that you would see much of an increase in crowds because of this one day off. Businesses (apart from banks and government offices as indicated above) don't close so, even though the kids are off, the parents are still working. The kids will be home catching up on homework!!
