    Hotels/Parking at Manchester Airport

Just wondered if anyone knows if any of the Hotels at Manchester Airport allow you to leave your car there when you are away if you book to stay the night before you leave?

If not, can anyone recommend a good deal on parking?

Also a last thought....... do any of the hotels allow you to book in for a while during the day? We will come off the flight at 7am and would like to lay our heads down for a bit before driving back to Scotland.

if you plan on staying the night before you fly then a lot of hotels can include parking as part of the package but obviously you pay extra for it

or you can go down the route of paying and booking both seperate

never heard of checking in early morning just for a days sleep

is there no possibility of a connecting flight back up to scotland?, it may work out cheaper

We stayed at the Travel Lodge Manchester Airport - only £26.00 per night. Taxi to the airport only took about 5 mins and cost £5.50. We left the car at Flypark which was within walking distence of the hotel (took us about 15 mins walk). Can't remember what we paid for Flypark but I remember that it was a good deal. I'm sure if you google it you'll find the web address.

    If no joy DM me.

Globespan works out just as expensive for us as we are travelling with children and globespan charge you adult price for them. No child discount at all.
We like to fly Virgin and get the frequent flyer discount and car upgrade with them. Also they are very comfortable flights and are quite child orientated which we like. The arrivals and departures times are good and the Downtown Check in gives us an extra day.
My Mum and Dad will be coming out for part of our holiday and they are going to book Globespan as it works out great for them. Dad has flown them a lot in Europe and really rates their service. I have only done one internal flight with them and the pilot was hilarious. Although I think he was trying to take our minds off a very bumpy landing at Edinburgh!
We will keep an eye on their prices though as we haven't booked yet.

Some hotels will allow a day check in as they can often squeeze it in betweek the night guests. Neither me or my husband sleep on the flight and by the time we get to Manchester are exhausted and need a few hours rest before driving back. We can usually put our heads down for a few hours at my Aunts who lives nearby but there will be a lot of us this year going so don't want to impose on her and her family.

A connecting flight to Edinburgh is not an option as no low cost airlines do that route so it is very expensive to do BA. Also we would be taken to the cleaners in extra baggage charges after coming home from the states with Virgins full allowance!!!!!!!!!

Just trying to work out what would be best for us all. Have tried to drive straight up and it was terrible. A couple of cans of red Bull were required as I felt a bit sleepy and was worried aboutt he dangers. Will not be doing it again!

We are flying from Manchester and staying at Travelodge in a couple of weeks time.

There are 5 adults and one child, which would have meant taking 2 cars, so we opted to hire a 7 seater (through this site of course). It has cost £71 so much cheaper than paying for airport parking for 2 cars.

Roger was brilliant and very helpful.

When it was just me & hubby we travelled to Manchester by train. That only cost us £11 each way because we booked in advance. If anyone wants the details of that dm me.

We always stay at Bewleys hotels. It is directly opposite terminals 1 and 3 and you can walk to these terminals in about 5 mins. They do offer a bus service to all terminals.
The hotel room works out at about £69 per night and they charge about £30 for 14 nights car parking. It quite a nice hotel with bar and restaurant and offer free Wifi broadband.

Millie, we have stayed at all four hotels on the airport, Bewleys is £104 inc up to 14 days parking, Hilton and Crwone plaza both do car parking but not sure on the cost.We are staying at the radisson SAS this time, the hotel straddles the walkway from T1 to T2.
We find the hotel great for as you check out you go right for T2 where virgin are and just 5 minutes on the walkway you are in the terminal,no outside waiting for buses etc on the way back straight to the walkway and to the hotel where your car is waiting.
As we are only two hours from home we have never tried asking at any of them for a day room but feel sure one of them will.
Hope this is of use to you, have a great time Eric

Most of the big chain airport hotels do day rooms for passengers arriving on early morning long-haul flights or who have long layovers between connections. I've never used 1 at Manchester but I have elsewhere. The cost tends to be a little less than the nightly rate depending on the time. If you're combining the day usage with a night stay you can usually negotiate early/late checkin/out at a better rate.

    I'd give them a call.
