Flights in August

We are trying to plan our next trip to Florida. Unfortunately we can't go next year as we went this year[msncry][msncry] so looking at 2008. We were thinking of going in the summer hols. That year is getting tricky with SATS and GCSE's so to avoid all that we though of going in the summer hols. I looked at the price for next years summer hols and it was over £800 with Virgin. I tried the miles and money but they didn't have any flights available but they did if you weren't looking for miles and money. Does anybody know why this was? I didn't realise it would be so expensive to fly in August

I think that Virgin only allocate a few seats on each flight for the miles and money options.

Try the flights link above, they are showing some good deals so may give you an idea of what flightd you can get.[msnsmile2]

we found that our miles plus money flights didn't show up online until roughly 10 months prior to departure

when i phoned thay said it's because they allocate some and then wait a little before allocating more, i presume this is to see how the flight is selling before deciding on how many miles plus money fares they are going to allocate

Welcome to the expensive time, I can't wait until the wife gives up teaching and I can look for cheap flights. You can use miles+money for PE seats in August but no economy ones.
