Sorry to hear your trip may be cancelled. But I guess you know it is the right thing to do - one must not travel against doctors advice. My old friends have just gone off to Canada and the husband was under the consultant with high blood pressure, pains in the legs etc etc. They have not declared this to the insurance company and I am worried to death that something will happen to him whilst abroad - he is 83. I could not take the risk and just pray he will come home safely. You never know - a prayer in the right direction might do the trick.

Sally, so sorry to hear about your health problems and that your trip might be cancalled. You must go with the advise of the doctor. Wait until you get the decission from her before you tell your children.

I have just spoken to Sally and she is feeling a little more positive this morning. Her children do know and have been very understanding about the possible cancellation.

She thanks all for the DMs and will get back to you all in due course when she is feeling up to it.

Glad the morning has brought a bit more positive feeling to Sally, and I'm sure if the children are old enough to understand when they should be going they are old enough to understand why there may be a delay (that's when it's easier if you have very small children who have no concept of time as any time in the future would be ok when they dont know dates etc).

If you do have to cancel Sally at least hopefully fully recovered and well recuperated you will have twice the fun from your holiday.
