Hi Sally, the old fashioned saying of 'take one day at a time' sounds such a cliche but is so useful when you are in a situation like this. Deal with the health issue first. You have good support at home ,I am sure and if you want to 'let off steam'well, there are so many on here who will sympathise and understand

So sorry to hear that you may not be able to go to Florida but do look on the bright side your health is so important and should come first and Florida won't go away. Hopefully insurance will cover your costs and you will be able to rebook when you are 100%. I hope everything works out.

Mrs Pegasus was told by her doctor not to go a month before our first trip to Florida. He even made her book another appointment with another doctor just to cover himself when Elaine said she wouldn't dream of cancelling.
It was a pretty difficult time trying to weigh up what to do for the best, finding out whether the insurance will cover you, what the worst case scenario is - and all this on top of the problem that is stopping you from going in the first place.
We really do sympathise with what you and your family are going through and hope it all turns out for the best
