Saw my doctor today, won't go into details, but when I mentioned we were off on holiday in just over 3 weeks and would everything be sorted so I didn't have any worries while away, she asked where I was going and when I told her she told me that she doesn't think she is going to let me fly.

I can't believe this, a whole year with have been looking forward to this, saving, planning and counting the days. I can't bring myself to tell the girls we might not be going.

My doctor is trying to rush things through for me but she has said there is a good chance we won't be going.

Oh god, I'm so upset.

So sorry to hear that Sally[msncry] We had to cancel at short notice one year due to my health so I know exactly how you must feel, but I know that your doctor would not make such a decision if there was not a very good reason. (and think of what the hospital or doctors bill could be like if things took a turn for the worse while you were there!![msneek])

We have been many times since my health problems and, hard as it may seem, if you heed the warning this time it will help to strengthen you for many more visits to the sunshine in future.

I don't know what to say to make you feel better-don't think I could-but is a delay rather than a cancellation an option- If the doctor is trying to rush something through then it would seem that after it a period of recuperation might be in order-I really hope that it is sorted-your girls will I'm sure be disappointed but I'm sure they'd rather have you there another time well and happy.

Very sorry to here you might have to cancel the holiday you have been looking forward to for so long. Your health is the most important thing even though I can really understand how upset you must be feeling. Keep positive and I sincerely hope everything works out for you.
