A lot depends on you feel about the crowds, the weather and a festive atmosphere! It's best to avoid school holiday periods if you can. If you like hot weather, then go in September again! I think that's ideal as the crowds are thin and the weather is fantastic. If you like the weather cooler, then late October and November is perfect. It is more crowded in October, but you do get take in the Halloween festivities. We enjoyed being there during the Christmas period the year before last, but the crowds really did put a damper on it for me!
We've said it before and we'll say it again.
Having stayed in a villa twice now we would never go on any holiday and stay in a hotel again. Once you've tasted the freedom it's hard to go back to claustraphobic, chaotic cattle run that is the hotel holiday. Not having to get up at 4am for a sunbed in a decent spot is one of the biggest pros I can think of.
We have stayed in 2 different communities, both on the H27, and have loved them both. The facilitites you can expect to receive differ from one villa to another - as does the price you will pay for these facilities.
We have a list of what we regard as a minimum that we would accept - but I won't print these here as I don't want to offend any of the owners - and we know that we can tick all the boxes on this site for less than other travel companies/websites, which is why we keep coming back.

We like staying in a villa as you meet people from all walks of life and get to the other villa holiday maker and people who live there all the time so you can learn a lot of things from both sides .We have spoken to lots and found places that people do not see as holiday makes .FLORIDA is a lot bigger than you think .We all like children when it comes to looking forward to going .

We have visited at Easter, late October and New Year. We love anytime in Florida but the weather has definately been warmer at Easter and October. Staying in a villa wins 'hands down' over a hotel. The thing I love best is being able to have breakfast sat by the pool - what bliss!!!

We have been in October, April, March. I loved it all of the times. I think we are going again the end of November, begining of December. Then again in May I have heard that is a good time to go.
New Years sounds like a lot of fun too!
But really any time you go would be a great time!

Hi,
Christmas ia a very special time in Orlando nice temperatures by day but a bit cool at night. My favourite time is May/ June because the parks are not too busy and the weather is usually very good, even if there is the odd storm it never lasts too long. Having said that we are restricted to school holidays and spend 3 or 4 weeks every July / August at our villa.
I can appreciate you choosing International Drive for your 1st trip to Orlando as you don't need a car to get around and driving for the first time in USA can be daunting but for a subsequent holiday you can't beat a villa for the space, the freedom and the 'home from home' comforts. (Like several others have said -you won't go back). I-Drive does not really give a true picture of Florida there is much more to see and enjoy!
Have a terrific time wherever you stay and enjoy the excitment of seaching - you can't beat this site for choice!

Have to say we like flying out in between Christmas and New Year and then we get all of the Christmas activities and stay on for three weeks so everything has quietened down again.[msnsmile]
Personally I don't think it matters which time of year you visit Florida - EVERY TIME IS FANTASTIC...... The weather is good all year round, when you think the ques at the parks will be crazy, its often quiet so just go with the time of year which best suits you.
With reference to the area to stay - all villa communites are in excellent locations for visiting the theme parks and many shopping malls Florida has to offer. Its all down to personal choice at the end of the day, each villa owner will have a favourite community, hense why they brought their villa there. Once you've decided on your dates etc why not put in an enquiry and see which villa takes your fancy.
