    Continental airways

    Hi all
We are planning to go to New York in January, flights are with Continental airways, we have never flown with them before, so any information would be appreciated. Last time we went we flew Virgin, which was brilliant.
    Thanks

We've flown with Continental a few times and they are fine. We last flew with them last year from Birmingham - the staff were friendly and helpful, food was OK with a choice of main course. The plane we were on didn't have seat back TVs but there were drop down monitors as well as big screens at the front of each cabin. Their hub is at Newark and we flew to Orlando from there but on a previous visit we went into Manhattan by taxi. A bit expensive but an experience - have never changed lanes so many times in such a reasonably short journey in my life!!

Some friends went to NY for New Year this year and had an absolute ball!! Is that when you will be there?

We flew Continental to NY and onward to Orlando at Easter. We would happily fly with them again, we had everything we have come to enjoy and expect on the Virgin Flights we had used previously

We have flown only once to NY with Continental, but would definitely fly again if the price was right.

Flew on Continental to Las Vegas via Newark a few years ago- Excellent. Wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

We use Bristol/Newark/Tampa route with Continental and have never had any problems with them. TV's drop from under the overhead lockers so no choice of films. Food is standard fare but the cabin crew are generally absolutely fine and with a one-asile cabin have no issues with passengers standing up and walking around.

We have used them from Belfast once and were horrified to see a 757 on that route! No mod cons on that flight. Although service was very good.

This is why I would not use them[msnwink]
