    A Seaside day or two

Hi guys off over to the land of fun next week [clap][msnsmile][clap]

We would like to visit both Clearwater and Daytona beaches over the 2 weeks

Basically has anyone got some "Easy Peasey" driving instructions to get to both

I suppose I would be looking for something central at both beaches so we can get around an eat/shop as well

    Cheers all

We did the Miami day trip via the Park Tickets site above, had a wonderful time.

Tampa is the only hard part about going to Clearwater, you really have to watch the overhead signs as you change lanes quite a few times around the Tampa area. It's well worth the trip.

We are trying Cocoa Beach in a couple of weeks, directions to there look very easy[msnwink]Or at least I've been told they are[msnwink]

we went to Daytona for a daytrip, not sure what roads are what, but its a main one!
straight there, very easy to get to, lovely beaches, and you can drive on to them! beautiful sand!!(if you have pebbles on your beach as we do in Brighton then you'll understand how much we love the sand!!)

It is quite straightforward going to Clearwater. It's a beautiful place. Like Lynne said the only place you have to be on the ball is Tampa but it's all sign posted.

Never been to Daytona but it's on our list for this year[msnwink]

Clearwater is easy, I4 west on reaching Tampa head for the airport and Clearwater is clearly signposted over the causeway and you are there its is now a bit easier since they finished all the roadworks around the causeway

Daytona is just as easy - I4 east and follow the signs for Daytona Beach. Its clearly signposted

As everyone has said, the roads are very well sign posted to both.

We went to "Ponce Inlet" beach which is at the very bottom of Daytona beach in August. You can drive your car onto the beach, it is really lovely.[msnsmile]

We went on 'Thriller' a converted F1 off-shore power boat when we visited Clearwater in August. It was great, the dophins swam in the wake and we all got a 5 min go at driving it.[msnsmile2]

Clearwater is a doddle, I4 west then hit the signs for Clearwater. You know you are getting near as you have water on both sides of the road.

Leave early to make sure you get a good parking space. That was the only problem we encountered going after 12.
