We spent the last week of July this year at our villa. The temp was in mid 90's every day and on the day we visited the Disney parks the main rides had very long queues.

If you are going to visit during UK school holidays, we would recommend going during the last 2 weeks of August. The American kids have gone back to school and the parks and roads are much quieter. We have done this for the past 2 years and found that the queues at the parks are much smaller. Most of the big rides only had a 15-20 mins wait time. The weather is hot(high 90s)
with a thunderstorm most afternoons but if you plan around this its no problem.

    Hope this helps

You could visit the parks first thing in the morning or latter in the day as the parks are less busy during these times.

We visited for the last two weeks in July this year. Yes the weather was hot but not as unbearable as I imagined. We really didn't find the parks any busier than it had been on previous visits in April and May.

I would agree with Liz, it is much quieter the last half of August, the guests who were in our home this year had very little wait on any rides, did both universal parks in one day with no wait on any rides. Eric

Florida is comfortable all year round since everywhere is air conditioned (stay in a house and you will not suffer the noisy hotel/motel variety)

Also the trees make it so much cooler and it is not dusty

Go to Florida ANYTIME of year and there is something to commend it

The humidity is higher during July and August as a rule. Though I believe this year it was a lot less. It will of course be busier during the childrens summer holiday, this is true of any holiday destination. The plus for Florida is you have options of going ALL year round. There are certainly more options for travel dates in Florida[msnwink]

We were there last week of July and whole of August this year, and the humidity did seem a lot less than last year, with fewer thunderstorms, temperature in the 90s.
The most we queued was for 45 minutes, and later in August more or less straight on or small queues. The parks seem to peak around lunchtime, so with some planning the worst of the queues can be avoided. Roll on next summer - or is that wishing my life away!

We definatly noticed the humidity was no where as bad as last year, We visited the last 2 weeks of August this year, and the queues at the parks were less than when we visited the 1st 2 weeks of August last year. July and August are very similar for the thunder storms in the afternoons, but you can arrange your day around this.
