    Monarch - Glasgow to Sanford

I'm sure someone was flying this airline in May and just wondered how the flight went?

Also we're flying in premier seats and just wondered if anyone had feedback about premier seating on Monarch.

    Thanks

    Elaine

    Hi Elaine,

Just returned last week, Newcastle - Sanford with Monarch, we also upgraded. The seating was in 2-4-2 formation and we had the back seats in row 7, which was perfect as we could leave our seats back all the way without disturbing anyone behind. They were cloth seats with plenty of legroom, no footrests, back seat screens with around 5 or 6 films. There was lots of food, we didn't feel like eating the day we arrived after all the food, and we got in at 12.15pm. As many drinks as you like, none if your driving, mind!!! I think it was worth the extra money to upgrade, although we found it a little bit cold and had to keep our blankets on, so take a jumper. Enjoy your holiday, I am back in 4 weeks with the same flight.

    Hi Elaine,

We also travelled to and from Sanford from Newcastle in May via Monarch and have to say that it was a vast improvement on our two last journeys with an airline that shall be nameless (but sounds a bit like XL! )
Monarch are using an Airbus 330 from NCL (economy seats are in 3-3-3 formation) and were reasonably on time except for a delay on the outbound flight which required new tyres at Manchester (must be heavy traffic in Manchester!!)
The staff were very pleasant on both trips which makes a big difference. Flying with them
again in October and quite happy about that. Plane was clean and looked in good condition.
If your flight from Glasgow is as good , I'm sure you'll be quite satisfied.
Have a great time when you go.

Kevin - glad you had a better experience this time than on your previous trips
Useful to know if we intend to fly from Newcastle again on any future trips.

Luggage allowance on Monarch is 20kg per person, plus hand luggage - that is in economy, there is more in PE
