    visa

Can anyone tell me if my 1 year old grandaughter will need a visa. My daughter has only just applied for a passport today for my grandaughter. Any advice welcome. As we are going to florida on the 29th of this month. Getting a bit worried.

No-one needs a visa unless they're not qualified for the visa waiver programme in some way or they don't have a machine readable passport. Your granddaughter may well get a biometric passport as these are now being issued on a pilot basis.

She must have a passport in her own right. Assuming she is going with her parents she will be OK on a visa waiver. Unless she has a criminal record [msnwink]

It doesnt make any difference who she will be travelling with when it comes to Visa waiver (she could be going with grandparents or others planning to take their grandchildren etc may take the statement to mean that they will need to get visas for them.
