    Boma flavors of Africa

I am sure I saw a post here about the restaurant Boma at Animal Kingdom Lodge, but I cannot find it.

Any opinons - is it worth a visit, or are there any other Disney restaurants that you feel are better - views of the fireworks etc.

We are over in November and would like to book something special for our last night

    Cheers[msncool][msnsmile]

You will love Boma, but it books up very quickly, so you will need to reserve a table as soon as you can. We recently had dinner at the Crystal Palace and watched the fireworks afterwards but a bit expensive. Another way is to go to the Boardwalk area hotels ,Beach Club,Boardwalk,Yacht Club ,Swan and Dolphin have a meal in either of these hotels come out stand around the boardwalk and watch the fireworks that go off from EPCOT free of charge with quite a good view. The best places to eat in this area are Cape May again buffet style good all round food for the familly, also the Big River Grill for your steaks and grilled food, and my husband likes the added addition that it has its own micro brewery with speciality beers that where you can sample the beers. Have fun but book early in them all.

We went to Boma in June and had a great meal. It is a buffet-style restaurant but the quality really is excellent and there is a great variety of choices. My only small criticism was that it was very noisy the evening we were there but that may just have been the people at the tables around us.

We also had a walk around the rear of the Animal Kingdom Lodge and saw some of the animals coming up quite close to the property which was really lovely.

We eat at Boma at least once each time we visit Orlando, it is one of our favourite restaurants. If you want to read a review that we have written for the Orlando Guide please click this link http://www.orlandovillas.com/florida...dom-lodge.aspx

It is very close to the park, when you come out of the car park you turn right instead of left (when driving). It is signposted for the lodge.

We have enjoyed meals there at our last few visits and apparently the food on offer changes frequently. The staff are very good about answering questions about the food and it is nice to see the kids so interested in trying the different foods.

    Plus the desserts are lovely!

You get a very good view of animals at Boma but for a view of the fireworks then book either the Grand Floridian or the California Grill at the Contemporary to see Wishes. You dont get a really good view of Epcots fireworks from the Boardwalk, there are some trees positioned nicely in the way.
