We are travelling on 23 rd March next year for 3 weeks. Two weeks in Kissimmee and the last on the Gulf. Easter is on weekend of 7/8 April. So when will be the busiest week. Should we do the majority of the parks in our first week there?
Cheers

Yes, I would go for the first week, get the parks over and then have a relaxing time. Enjoy your holiday.

I think that your first week is likely to be the quietest as most UK schools have the weeks either side of Easter off
Definately try to do as much as you can the first week as you will not believe how long the wait time will be for the rides in the week leading up to Easter.
We made the mistake of thinking that just because we had 3 weeks there we could take it easy in our first week. Week 2 we arrived at Epcot first thing and found that the Fast Passes for the popular rides were for 6.30 pm.
Suggest you have a list of all the rides you want do in each park and anything else you manage to do will be a bonus. Use the time difference to your advantage, you will often be awake early the first week so could be at the parks when they open. Then when you start to tire early afternoon come out have lunch or back to the villa for a swim, siesta and back in evening for the parades/fireworks.

we discovered that the parks stayed open until midnight the week before Easter. As we had teenagers,we found if you went in the evenings the crowds and wait times dropped dramatically.Of course if you have young children it might not be so useful. We also went in early some mornings and left before the crowds built up which was after midday.
We were especially surprised at how empty Universal was on Good Friday when we arrived after 6pm. We went on all the rides without queueing before 9pm.

When the parks are busy its better to go early or later in the day.
I would choose to go the first week to the parks etc and the queues should not be too bad.

Lucky you
We are travelling out on the 24th March for two and a half weeks
We went along to Florida Easter just gone but didn't really visit the parks, just Discovery Cove
I did speak to a few people around the communal pool who did say the parks were very busy so perhaps it would be better to visit before the weekend of the 31st
We do plan to visit the parks next year so i think this will be our plan[msnsmile2]
Hope you enjoy your time in Florida

23rd March is my daughter Megan's 18th birthday. (sorry piece of useless info)
We always go this time of year. Best to do the parks early in the holiday as you will not believe how kn*****ed you get. It then gives you plenty of time to see all the other things available in Orlando.
We're going out 14th March - 4th April, so I'm having to plan a big birthday party for Megs. Any idea welcome

Better to do the parks early on in your trip because some of them offer free return visits and you will make more use of these the earlier you first go there. As at June 2006, Seaworld and Busch Gardens were offering six consecutive days free on each ticket. Just buy your one day pass as normal and upgrade it in guest relations while you are in the park.
