Really stupid question about the waterparks

I'm very suceptable to sunburn on my shoulders and back and was wondering would I look an idiot wearing a T shirt whilst going on the waterslides and such in Typhoon Lagoon/Blizzard Beach (have not decided which one we are going to yet). Sorry for the stupid question but it's been bothering me a bit. Does anyone in these parks wear T shirts whilst in the water? [msnembarrased]

    Dave,
not in the slightest, last time i went to typhoon + blizzard i wore the loudest hawaiin shirt i could find. Nobody batted an eyelid, as it turned out not to be the loudest!

It's fine to cover up in the water parks, me and my children sometimes wear t shirts in the water to keep the sun off our shoulders. I love lying in a ring and floating around the lazy river so like to be extra careful I don't burn.

Not at all your health is more important, Nobody will take any notice its the people with sunburn that look silly for not taking care.

Yep - me to - I wear a shirt in the waterparks too - very fair skin and burn easily.

Dave you can also buy some really really high factor sun creams at places like Wal-mart etc... There are some sports ones that don't come off in water.

We always wait until all the family has a good base tan before we go to any water parks, and always use lots and lots of sun-cream.

I agree Rose a T-shirt looks much better than burnt shoulders[msnwink]

Last time we were there in July - loads of people were wearing t-shirts. If you find they slow you down on the slides just take them off for the descent and then pop them back on again. Try not to go to the water parks at the beginning of the trip - it's a long, very hot day! Something else you might want to consider, depending on when you're travelling is some kind of footwear - the concrete paths get burning hot. We never bother and look like a bunch of gumbies trying to hop, skip and jump across the scorching ground!! [:P]

    Have a great time!

Thanks a million for all the replies. I did order a surfing shirt (waterproof) but it was really tight and I didn't like it. You can also buy UV protection T shirts which is what I'll probably buy.

Hair on my shoulders and back maybe as much of a reason for the T shirt to be honest [msnembarrased]
