Albert the frog and the blustery flights

Well -Here goes-we departed on the first weekend of the increased security and the messages were confused to say the least-we left 3 hours late and didn't arrive in our villa until 12.30am sunday-we therefore revisited our plans for sunday and chilled-until mrs albert was blowing up a li-lo (subsequently found out they are called pool floaters! in US), and her tooth fell out-went to emergency dentist at a cost of $270 including X ray and the "gent" then also quoted us-get ready for this-$5,000 to put in an "abutment" that will last longer than my wife-we left that idea and peasants that we are survived the holiday on superglue from walgreens until our own dentist can sort-i kid you not!
Did all the main parks, loved Universal and IoA did rides I've never dared to do before-Revenge of the Mummy and Dr Doom-seriously thought that my time was up on the Revenge of the Mummy and was grateful that I had made a will.
Loved Busch Gardens-Daughter no 1 did Sheikra-much respect.
When it came to Disney we had mixed views-All agreed Magic Kingdom is exactly that-no complaints at all-fireworks , parade superb.
Animal Kingdom was like a bear garden -no organisation, rides breaking down, not impressed-but we did think that the Lion King show was excellent and the Safari thing was good but we probably wouldn't go back. MGM was OK but obviously a light day.
When it comes to eating out I've always been a fan of Denny's but on the two occasions that we went this time to two separate diners we had to "invoke" the manager because the service was that bad-again despite the protestations of the manager to give them another try-we didn't.
Tried and loved Chili's on recommendations from here-loved Olive Garden and Black Angus-couldn't find Manny's
Driving-discovered the joys and ease of the Turnpike and Osceola Parkway in a Red 15 seater maxivan-fantastic!.
Coming back we were on the Thomas Cook flight that was delayed by 4.5 hours so we got home about 1.30 this afternoon and I'm just about to drop off zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Oh! One more thing-Seaworld -love it-love the shows and the ethos-but did anybody else think that the "believe" show is just a tad too cheesy? I suppose that there's only so many ways to present a Killer whale!

Thank you for doing a trip report, glad to hear you tried a few of my favourite restaurants, Olive Garden, Black Angus and Chilis and liked them. I've never tried a Denny's, sorry to hear the service was bad.

Driving is great on both roads you mention, we use the Osceola Parkway all the time, it's so quiet.

MGM is one of our most visited parks, we love all the shows, with Fantasmic being the icing on the cake...It's superb. Everyone is different though, Sea world is always a hit and the Wishes fireworks at MK are a fabulous way to end any evening.

    Welcome back,
    Lynne

Thanks for the report Bob and the translation for lilo...don't think I could ask for one in a store with a straight face tho!! My husband wouldn't even let us go to Dennys in California as the service we had in two different Dennys in Florida was so bad he vowed never to go again. It used to be our favourite breakfast destination when the kids were little.

Go on Liz spill the beans ,tell us all about Market St cafe and is it expensive for breakfast? because I think just by being in Celebration it must be pricey .Having said that Im a real Celebration fan just even for a walk around the lake .
