Coming from Liverpool I do scouse in mine. It's great in the winter coming home from work and the lovely smell hits you as you come through the door.[msnsmile2]

Mmmm - all this food sounds really tasty - thanks for your suggestions. I will just have to try and see how I get on - i will let you all know [msnsmile]
Cider punch is very successful in a slow cooker.
2 eating apples - halved and cored
8 cloves - stuck into the apple halves
3.5 pints cider
3 teaspoon ground ginger
4 tablespoon brown sugar
grated rind and juice of one lemon
bung it all in and cook for 2 hours.
Mulled wine is also successful

Can i ask a bit of a silly question but how long do i know to cook anything that i am cooking or can i just put it on low all day while i am at work?[msnembarrased]
Yes you cant put it on low all day while you are at work. It does take a long time to cook the meat in stews and casseroles and I am pretty sure that you will not burn anything in a slow cooker. Didnt you get a hand book with your slow cooker?
