    In or Out?

We fly tomorrow morning and I am sitting here with a small carry on sized bag and the suit case. Now I am taking one mobile phone and a sat nav, do I put them in the suit case and it will probably have to be opened or take them on with me in the hand luggage and let them look at them at security?

    Any help, thanks

You can now take electronic items in your hand luggage (but note that it's very reduced in size) but not things like liquids, gels, etc.

One of the other threads in this section has the info I think?

If you can't decide go onto the airline website and check to see what you can take onboard with you. Like Blott says you can now take electricals, but are limited on size etc. Alternative ask them just before you check in.

If you don't need them for the flight, I would say put them in your suitcase (and if anything does happen to them fingers crossed that you are insured).

I like to keep my mobile with me so that I can call my family from the airport just before I board the plane. This time I will have to remember to write their number down (can never remember the numbers) and call them from a pay phone in the airport.

Hope this helps and that have a good trip.

If you can fit it in your small carry-on bag, you can have your mobile with you.

Hi all, You can take any small electrical items on board as long as its not bigger then a lap top, I had one phone, phone charger, sat nav and car charger all in one small bag, no problems at all.. On the way back the US security did ask a good question regarding electrical items "have any of your electrical items been repaired recently?" Looks like they are doing their home work and making sure Nothing gets through..
