Please think about this. Flying is one of the safest forms of transport. You will miss out on so much if you carry on thinking this way.
Think of the wonderful time you will have in Florida and the memories you will have.

We are going in 2 weeks and wouldnt dream of cancelling it. We take just as much risk every day going out in a car (my husband averages a couple of hundred miles a day on some of the souths worst motorways, and if anything the airlines should be safer now than ever,
Just try and relax and look forward to the break.

Couldn't agree more I drive over 30,000 miles a year and I feel safer in an aircraft than on the M6.
We fly with our children on the 24th Aug and cannot wait. Even a little bit of inconvenience at check in cannot dampen the enthusiam for the fantastic time we will have whilst we are in Florida.

It is an understandable reaction however on reflection it is even safer now than it was 7 days ago

We flew back from Orlando on the day it all was announced and had absolutely no problems at all. It really was a non-event and nothing to worry about. The lack of hand luggage was a bit of a nuisance at first but to be honest it meant I actually had some sleep rather than sat there fiddling with my iPod etc etc.
Go enjoy your holiday - I'm sure you will have a fab time and look back on your worries and wonder why you were so worried.
To answer the question - Are you scared of flying now? No I'm not!
I could go out in my car and be the victim of road rage (the way I drive this is quite possible!!), or have an accident. I could go by boat or ferry and be the victim of a collision at sea. I could go by train and have it de-railed. I could walk down the street and be knocked down...!
Alternatively I could stay at home, never go anywhere and still be the victim of an accident. I believe most accidents happen in your own home.
We're flying out to Florida early September and I can't wait!!

paul one or more than two people will have your thoughts and quite rightly so but you just have to check out the stats - we are actually looking to go out next week now -you will be fine.
ps. if you do cancel (and feel free) let me know cos the insurance company wont reimburse you... i'll give £50 a ticket[msnwink]![]()

You are missing a lovely time in FLORIDA and if it is the first it will not be the last as we all have found this out its MAGIC .Have a lovely holiday .
