What's the latest on Pointe Orlando and Belz shopping? When we were over last September Pointe Orlando looked like it was closed but I believe it was just being re-developed. Any new shops moved in? And is Belz improving any after being taken over by Prime Outlets? The place was looking a bit sad last year!![msnsad][msnsad]

we loved the Belz shopping place when we went to orlando first in 2002, and it does look a sorry sight,
we always go to Johnny Rockets for our lunch when we shop at pointe!! best milkshakes ever!!

We only visited a few of the shops at Prime when over in April, to be honest what we saw didn't appear to be any diffrent from when it was Belz. There are still over 175 stores and all the main names are there still. We didn't venture to Pointe Orlando as it was not one of my favs in the first place.
Pointe Orlando still closed at present HOWEVER Johnny Rockets [we are also fans] - there is a new one at THE LOOP Shopping centre off Osceola Parkway.
Nice evening spent there, and at the Cinema there also.
I was over at Belz a couple of weeks ago. The main mall was completely closed off and the second mall, whilst it was open for business, there were lots of shops having closing down sales. There was a huge new visitor centre in the second mall though so I guess everything is being developed and updated but at the moment there is not a lot there.
The outside designer shops are still trading as usual though.

I drove by Belz now Prime1 and they have demolished mall 2 to the ground for new building. Totally a pile of rubble.
Pointe Orlando still in renovation and they have a new restaurant. I have heard rumors of BB King opening a blues club there. I hope so as my hubby plays blues in spare time.

Are they going to do anything to the Mercado? it was looking in a very sorry state when we was there in April.MY son loved going there for his breakfast, he was quite put out that the food hall had closed.

I think i remember an article awhile back , that they are going to redevelop this area into a block of condo's
