Do Dollar at MCO let you choose your cars the same way as Alamo do?
We hired a full size from Dollar at Las Vegas where they sent us to the full size row in the car park and amongst others there were Chrysler Pacifica's (Premium) and Jeep Laredo's to choose from.[msncool]
No, cars are allocated on arrival, you could always upgrade. If you have booked your car through this site then I would upgrade before you go as it is much cheaper.

No, but you can make requests at the desk on arrival and they will do their best to accommodate you. We've done this several times ourselves and they have been great.
It will also depend on how busy they are when you collect. If they are relatively quiet, then there is more chance of chosing a specific car within your range. Also, if you sign up for Dollar Express, then they favour you for free upgrades too (there are no guarantees of an upgrade though).
Not too bothered about upgrading, just like picking the car I fancy.
